Work begins for new foreign community

New build 'sold out' at Third Beach
A SCANDINAVIAN community is understood to be behind a major residential development taking root at Third Beach, Voices understands.

A digger and lorries have been active within the last 10 days digging out soil at the rear of the Moonhill Complex and just yards from the five-star Garden of Sun Hotel in preparation for the construction.

Voices has been speaking to a number of contacts and understands the 50 or so apartments, which will be in two or three blocks, with a small retail element, have already been sold out.

The newspaper understands the community – believed to be Swedish-Turkish – bought and paid for the land, off Karadeniz Caddesi, to the tune of 2.3 million Turkish Lira from a local farmer.

But in what is a novel move – compared to other private developments – the apartments have already been bought out by the community before a brick has been laid.

It has not been established if they are looking to use the development as a permanent all-year round base or whether it will be used for holiday accommodation.
